Waterlilies at Descanso Gardens California
This wonderful water feature is just inside the entrance to the Descanso Gardens. It includes a small cascade, landing ducks, swimming coy fish and floating water lilies. After I finished painting, I take a walk up to the Boddy House, passing through the blooming camellia trees and then made a side trip to the lilac garden. The fragrance of the lilacs was intoxicating. Plants come out early here in Southern California and March is the best month to capture the flora in bloom.
