Eaton Canyon in the Spring

The rocky stream which runs through Eaton Canyon is lined with sycamore trees, old oaks and native brush. During the spring months the foliage pops out of the trees in a profusion of new green.  Often the mountain catches the clouds before the warm sun has a chance to burn them off. Painting plein air here is to step into the shoes of the great California Impressionists, who have immortalized this lovely canyon.
