Waterfall Passion

I have just finished a commission on another waterfall painting. This particular falls in Oregon was visited by the client and her husband so has special meaning. It was an especially interesting waterfall to paint because of the different characters of the cascades.  Also the bridge, with its shadows and highlights introduces a sharp contrast with the water. It was very exciting to paint. I focused in on the bridge and the falls just behind it to draw the eye into the painting and give it depth.

I liked this painting so much that I immediately did another of the same falls called Misty Waterfall. Here, I made the cliffs and waterfall softer and added mist coming up from the water and snaking around the mountains. Misty Waterfall is a painting that I will be offering as a Giclee print in February.

Very nice, Sharon! I like them both, but I think I like the second one the best... more mystical.
The detail in your work is amazing. You must have tons of patience!!
Congratulations on your commision.
Also.. I like your "entrance" page changes. I think it is easier to navigate the way you have it now and it looks nice... I don't know if the top painting is randomly generated like mine, but it was nice to see something different when I entered the website.
... You should probably go back in and clean up the writing. You've got html showing up.. I noticed it before but didn't say anything, but as long as you're making changes, that's one to fix.
I'd like to learn more about your giclee'.
Be well.
Marian
