The last week has been a whirlwind of art receptions and new shows. I have been included in three shows, with two openings this past weekend. Each show was filled with wonderful work and held surprises.
'Tis The Season
A festive mood was in the air, as the overflow of guests enjoying the art at
Segil Gallery's "Seventh Annual Small Works Show." I was very pleased to have three paintings judged into this exhibit. As the evening progressed, Santa checked off many wish lists and red dots where in abundance. The evening held a special treat when my plein air teacher, Karl Dempwolf, arrived and we had a wonderful time catching up. You still have time to make someones Holiday dreams come true with a gift from Segil Gallery at 110 West Lime Avenue, Old Town Monrovia CA 91016 through December 31.

Big Crowds at Viva L'Art
Last weekend the exhibit, "Viva L'Art" opened at
Viva Gallery. Organized by the
San Fernando Valley Art Club it was judged by
California Art Club artists,
David Gallup. This show had one of the largest turn outs ever at Viva and was a great success for the club. David was kind enough to took the time to come to the reception where he spoke with many of the artists. This show will run through December 12 so don't miss it. Viva Gallery at 13261 Moorpark Street
Sherman Oaks, CA 91423.
It has been an inspired start to the '09 Holiday season. I hope I can keep the momentum going with parties, more art and visits with family and friends.

It certainly sounds as though you have met your self coming and going this month. How wonderful to be in so many shows this time of the year. It's even better when the crowds are good and you win awards:)
The season is winding down and wanted to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I look forward to seeing more of your wonderful paintings in 2010.
